A Life Safety Initiative to Increase the Exit Time for Fire Service SCBA

Thank you for taking the time to submit a comment in favor of this change.  By doing so, you are letting federal regulators know that firefighter safety is something that you do not take lightly.

Although an official public comment period has not yet been scheduled, you can act today by submitting a comment to the rulemaking docket that has been established. A rulemaking docket serves as the official collection point for comment on a proposed regulatory change.

There are three ways to submit a comment supporting this important change to current federal regulation.  All require sending a written correspondence to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).

Be sure to include the Reference Topic: SCBA ESLI and Docket Number: NIOSH - 034 on all submissions.
